This beautiful book is one of our collaborations with Porter Press International, leading publishers and retailers of classic car books. This is number 5 in their Exceptional Cars series, this time with acknowledged Aston Martin expert, author and enthusiast Stephen Archer. The foreword is by Nick Mason, Pink Floyd drummer, and long time fan and owner of Aston Martins.
Built in 1935 to the same specifications as the teams cars, one of only 31 Ulsters ever made, this car is possibly one of the most raced Aston Martins of all time, taking part in the Le Mans 24 Hour, the Mille Miglia and the Targa Abruzzo.
Guy photographed CMC 614 throughout the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, at a variety of events from hill climbs to racing to sprints, and many of these were used in this book, both action shots and in the paddock.
Guy often photographed the car being driven by Derrick Edwards, the redoubtable pre-war Aston Martin expert, who owned it for 30 years and won more than 600 awards.

Derrick Edwards worked with Nick Mason to set up the Aston Martin specialist business which became Ecurie Bertelli, who have now restored the car to its 1935 specification.
